John attended St. Mary of the Assumption Grammar School and graduated from Brookline High School with the Class of 1986. He continued his education at the New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences, earning a diploma in Mortuary Science in 1990.
John is married to Kathy (Kickham) O'Dea. Their two sons, George T. O'Dea III and Michael J. O'Dea, work alongside their father, continuing the family's longstanding tradition of service at the funeral home and helping ensure the highest level of care and professionalism for the families they serve.

George continued his education at Salem State University, where he studied business, before enrolling at Mount Ida College. In 2019, he earned an associate degree in Mortuary Science. He has been a licensed funeral director since 2021 and proudly carries on his family's longstanding tradition of service in the funeral profession.

Michael J. O'Dea was born and raised in Brookline, Massachusetts. He attended the Heath School before graduating from Brookline High School as a member of the Class of 2018. He later continued his education at Massachusetts Bay Community College in Wellesley.
Today, Michael works alongside his father and brother, helping to maintain and support the day-to-day operations of the family's business. He is committed to contributing to the business's continued success while carrying on the family's tradition of hard work and dedication.

George T. O'Dea, Sr. (1934–2019) was a longtime Brookline funeral director whose career reflected a deep family tradition of compassionate funeral service. A third-generation funeral director, he was the great-nephew of John H. Lacy and the nephew of George J. Lacy, founders of the former Lacy Funeral Home in Brookline.
Born in Sharon, Massachusetts, in 1934, George moved to Brookline at the age of 18 to work alongside his uncle, George J. Lacy, at the family funeral home. After earning his Massachusetts funeral director's license, he continued serving families with his uncle. Following George J. Lacy's untimely death in 1966, George assumed management of the Lacy Funeral Home, guiding its operations until its closure in 1983.
That same year, George purchased the Bell Funeral Home, establishing Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home. Under his leadership, the funeral home became a respected institution in Brookline, continuing a family legacy of dedicated service while providing compassionate care to generations of local families. Through decades of commitment to his profession, George helped shape the funeral service community in Brookline and upheld a tradition of dignity, respect, and personal attention.
While working in Brookline, George met Marie P. (Daley), and the couple married in 1961. They made their home in Brookline, where they raised their three children: Cathy, George T. O'Dea, Jr., and John. Together, they became a well-known family in the community that George faithfully served throughout his career.
