PHILLIPS, William F. Suddenly in Plum Island, formerly of Brookline on August 26, 2017. Loving husband of Sharon E. Biddiscombe, and adored father of Samantha Phillips of Plum Island. Devoted son of the late Henry C. and Doris H. (Flynn) Phillips. Dear brother of Charles Phillips and wife Linda of Brookline, Carol Teele of Amesbury and her late husband David, Robert Phillips and wife Joan of Framingham, Susan Phillips of Cape Canaveral, FL., Marianne Donnelly and husband Ed "Tuna" Donnelly of Plum Island and the late John Phillips. Also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews and friends. A true family man first and foremost, he loved his times on the boat with his family and friends, he had such an infectious smile, and was known for his quick wit and one liners which would always leave you laughing, he had a nickname for everyone he was often seen on land or sea with his trademark hat and sunglasses no matter what the season. He loved the Patriots cheering them onto a 5th title this past season and was often the 12th player. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S.M.C and retired employee of the Brookline Forestry Division. He will be greatly missed by those he loved and those who loved him. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday August 29th from 4:00 8:00 PM in the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., Brookline. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Funeral Service and Interment will be private. A Celebration of his life is being planned for a later date.
