William D. Adams, Founding Partner, President and Treasurer at Beacon Architectural Associates in Boston, since 1963, passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on September 16, 2018. Son of William B. Adams of Townsend and Emma Beeler Adams of Everett, Bill was born in Boston and raised in Leominster and Lunenburg, Massachusetts. A graduate of Lunenburg High School and Cushing Academy, he earned a bachelor degree in architecture at Cornell University. Bill was then commissioned into the U.S. Army Reserve, and served active duty in Virginia and later in France with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Bill was a member of the Algonquin Club of Boston since 1964, serving in many leadership roles including President of the Club and also of its Foundation. That same year, he joined the Friends of the Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center at Boston University, serving as President and Board Member over the decades. Burial will be private.
