MELVIN, Timothy J. Of Brookline on May 19, 2022. Devoted son of the late Timothy J. and Bridie (Mulkerrin) Melvin. Dear brother of Noreen Melvin. Also survived by many cousins here and in Ireland and many friends. Tim graduated from Mission High School in 1965. He then worked for two years at Sears and United Fruit before attending Boston College in the late sixties. He then became a business manager of the Patio Lounge in Roxbury working alongside his dad. A devout Catholic, Tim read the Bible every day. He especially enjoyed biblical discussions with his friend Shimshon. Tim was a patient listener and treated everyone with respect. He had a witty sense of humor and was well-liked by all who knew him. He enjoyed skiing and tennis, and most recently he was looking forward to renewing his tennis skills. He will be sorely missed! Visitation will be held in the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home on Tuesday morning from 8:30 – 9:30 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Brookline at 10:00. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
