MURPHY, Thomas F. "Skippy" of Brookline, MA passed away comfortably at the age of 84 on August 27, 2017. Beloved husband of Christina (Filipak) Murphy. Devoted father of Shawn and Christopher Murphy. Cherished brother of the late John "Buster" Murphy of California, James Murphy & Kenneth Murphy both of Portsmouth, NH, and the late Patricia Freire of Brighton, MA. Skippy leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visiting hours will be held in the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., Brookline, Thursday, August 31st, from 5:00 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 1st, at 10:00 AM in Saint Mary of the Assumption Church, 5 Linden Place, Brookline. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
