DWYER, Thomas John "Dewey". Retired Firefighter Brookline Fire Dept., after 36 years of service. Of West Roxbury, formerly of Brookline passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 22, 2026. Beloved husband of the late Anne E. (Riley) Dwyer. Cherished partner of Margaret "Peggy" (Lawlor) Connor of Brookline. Adored father of Melissa Dwyer and Patricia Dwyer both of West Roxbury and "Bonus" father of Stacie Sullivan and her husband Brendan of Franklin and the late Thomas John Dwyer, Jr., and the late Billy Connor.  "Papa Dew" to Brynn, Cameron, and Chloe. Devoted son of the late John and Theresa (Laquidara) Dwyer. Loving brother of the late William F. Dwyer and his surviving wife Ellen (Rogers) Dwyer of Somerville and dear nephew of Jean Dwyer of Brookline. Funeral from the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., Brookline on Friday morning May 29th at 9:00 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Brookline at 10:00. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Thursday May 28th from 3:00 – 7:00. Interment Walnut Hills Cemetery. Late member Brookline Fire Dept. Local # 950 I.A.F.F. and Veteran U.S. Army. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Dewey may be made to the Brookline Firefighters Relief Assoc.
