O'LEARY, Thomas P. "Bomber". Lieutenant Brookline Fire Dept. (ret.) Of Westwood, formerly of Brookline passed away with his loving family by his side on February 24, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Janet M. (Lynch) O'Leary. Loving father of Thomas M. O'Leary and his wife Jessica and Carrie A. Savary and her husband Daniel all of Walpole. Cherished Papa of Timothy O'Leary and Madison, Danny, Riley and Jacqueline Savary. Adored son of the late Ellen (Casey) and Timothy M. O'Leary, Jr. Devoted brother of the late Timothy M. O'Leary, III and his surviving companion Barbara Rogers of Quincy. Dear Brother-in-law of John Lynch and his wife Kathy of West Roxbury and admired uncle to their children Greg Lynch and his wife Stacie of Westwood, Stephanie Cobuccio and her husband Bobby of Norwood and Chad Lynch and his wife Laura of Plainville and he is especially remembered by his longtime friend Gale Burke of Falmouth. Bomber was an avid sports fan and was coach in Norwood and Westwood where he become a second father to many of the children he coached. In later years he loved to watch his grandchildren's games as a proud "Papa". His Funeral will be held from the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., Brookline on Friday March 1 at 9:00 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Brookline at 10:00. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Brookline Firefighters Assoc. Local 950, P.O. Box 470771, Brookline Village, MA. 02447
