Of Wayland, formerly of Boston, passed away peacefully on Febraury 27, 2022. Born in China, lived for some time in Hong Kong where she married Yip Chor Ken So. Emigrated to Boston in 1967, where she and her husband raised their family and ran the China Lion Restaurant in Lynn, MA for 25 years. Theresa enjoyed philanthropic activities. She was an active contributor to the St. James Church, Kwong Kow School, Lee Association, and Lions Club. She enjoyed mahjong, dim sum, tai chi, attending mass and social activities at St. James Church, and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.She was also visited by friends of Boston Chinese Evangelical Church toward her last few years. Daughter of Lee Wing Soon and Sau Hing Lee. She is survived by her children Keith and Minhee So, Pauline and Dick Lee, and Kevin So; grandchildren Kiana Lee, Brandon Kenneth Lee, Brent DJ Lee, and Luke John So. She also leaves her sister Lee Wei Ming; her nieces and nephew Lisa Eng-Zerko, Kelly Eng, and Vincent and Christine Eng, and grand-nephews Anthony and Alan Eng. Visiting Hours will be held in the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., BROOKLINE on Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10 AM in St. James the Greater Church, 135 Harrison Ave., Boston. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery.
