MacPherson, Shirley. In Framingham, formerly of Brookline on December 21, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Allen "Red" MacPherson. Loving mother of Richard MacPherson and his wife Celia of Northborough, Katherine Finney of Bennington, VT, Kevin MacPherson and his wife Sarah of Oak Bluffs, Dianne Laffey and her husband Michael of Brookline. Cherished grandmother of Thomas, Sean and Alison MacPherson, Bronwyn, Lindsay and Cordelia Finney, Olivia and Samuel MacPherson and Marcus Laffey. Shirley was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1937. She moved to the United States in 1956 and married her beloved husband Allen in 1958. Shirley became a United States Citizen in 1962. Shirley raised her family on the second floor of her triple decker home in the Whiskey Point neighborhood of Brookline where she lived for over 50 years. Shirley was an active member of the United Parish in Brookline and was a proud member of the Brookline Rotary Club where she had served as Club President. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Shirley may be made to the Brookline food pantry Housed at The United Paris, 210 Harvard Street in Brookline.

Following a private family service at Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home there will be a Graveside Committal at Walnut Hills Ceremony,96 Grove St., Brookline on Thursday January 11th at 12:30PMwhere all are welcome to attend.(Please use cemetery main entrance at the corner of Allandale and Grove St.)
