CROKE, Rosemary Theresa (Durkin), a lifelong Brookline resident passed away peacefully on August 30, 2021 with her family by her side. Rose was the dear wife of the late Richard C. Croke and a loving mother to Rosie Hanley, her husband Tommy, Lisa Iskra, and her husband Bobby. She was a proud and caring Grandmother to Richie Iskra and his wife Tatum, Mary Katherine (Katie) Iskra, Casey Iskra, Ryan Hanley, and Brandon Hanley. Recently Rose was given the roll as Great-Grandmother to her beloved Etta and Sammy Iskra. Rose is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Bobby and Stephen Mackerron, Kellie Lynch, Joseph Fontaine, and Linda Croke. Rose leaves us to be reunited with her siblings, Joan Durkin, Mary and Joe Fontaine, Veronica "Bubbles" Durkin and Kelly Lynch, Helena "Darby" MacKerron. Rosemary was an avid Boston Bruins Fan, a dedicated member of the Brookline Community, and retired employee of the Brookline School Dept. Funeral from the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St. Brookline on Friday morning at 10:10 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church at 11:00. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00. Interment at Walnut Hills Cemetery.
