Robert Paul O'Block, age 82, of Boston, MA, passed away on March 23, 2025. He was born on March 9, 1943, in Pittsburgh, PA to parents Paul and Mary O'Block. He graduated from Plum High School and Purdue University with a degree in engineering, and from Harvard Business School with an MBA. He worked as a management consultant at Mckinsey & Company, as well as serving as Managing Partner of Freeport Center, Director Emeritus for McKinsey Advisory Council, and Harvard teaching fellow. He enjoyed giving back to his community through organizations including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, where he was Chair of the Board of Overseers, Trustee and Vice-Chair and Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees, the Snowbird Arts Institute, and the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where he worked on the board of trustees as Vice Chairman. He was known for his avid love of family, golf, and philanthropy. He is survived by his three sons, Robert, Gregory, and Kevin O'Block, their spouses Maggie, Jeffrey, and Jordan, and his granddaughters Willa, James, and Blake, as well as his sister Patricia O'Block Neff (late Edwin). A memorial service will be held at a later date.
