Of West Roxbury formerly of Brookline died in his home following a long fight with Alzheimer's surrounded by his loving family on November 19, 2022. Beloved husband of Marjorie A. (Gould) Mello. Loving father of Robert Mello Jr., and his wife Carrie of Southboro, Matthew Nieniewski-Mello and his wife Anna of Krakow, Poland and Joseph Mello and his wife Jaclyn of Maynard. Cherished Grandpa of Mackenzie, Grant, Ryan and Julian. Devoted son of the late Ernest and Lorette Mello. Dear brother of Alice Hynes of FL., Dorothy Duncan of Brighton, Ernest Mello of NH, Richard Mello of Wrentham, Patricia Brown of Norfolk and Roger Mello of Shirley. Also survived by many adored nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., Brookline on Monday Nov. 28th at 10:00 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Brookline at 11:00. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Sunday Nov. 27th from 2:00 – 6:00. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
