HEALY, Robert J. "Bobby."
A lifelong resident of Mission Hill passed away unexpectedly on May 31, 2024. He was born on April 21, 1951, to the late John and Anna (King). Husband of Suzanne (Muchene). Father of Annmarie Roth-Healy, Julianna Healy, and Kathryn Healy. Grandfather of Christian and Brayden Lopez. Brother of Dorothy Sullivan and her husband John of West Roxbury, Fr. John Healy of St. Mary Parish, Walpole and his late wife Mary, Stephen Healy and his wife Margaret of Roslindale, Janice Wright of Pawtucket, RI., Thomas Healy and his wife Susan of Dedham, Paul Healy and his wife Lisa of West Roxbury, the late Eleanor Spurr and her late husband William, and the late Carol Healy. Survived by many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by friends, family, and all who knew him.
Mission High graduate and U.S. Army Veteran. He was a spiritual man involved in many activities at Mission Church and a devotee of "Our Lady". Knights of Columbus, Roxbury Council 123, Past Grand Knight; MassArt Facilities Staff, 39 years; longtime friend of Bill W. He was an avid Boston sports fan with a passion for basketball and his beloved Boston Celtics, having played at Mission High and coached at the Tobin Gym. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mission Church in Bobby's memory are appreciated. Visiting hours at Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St, Brookline, MA 02445, Monday, June 17th, 4:00–7:00 PM. Funeral at Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, on Tuesday, June 18th, 9:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help "Mission Church", 1545 Tremont St., Boston, MA. 02120, 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Buzzards Bay, MA 02542, Tuesday, June 18th, 2:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
