BULLARD, Rita (Morton). In Quincy, formerly of Brookline and Roxbury on August 14, 2015. Former wife of the late Joseph W. Bullard, Sr. Loving mother of Joseph W. Bullard, Jr. and wife Bonnie of Brookline, Jean Suther of Oak Island, N.C. and her late husband Max, Carol Costello of Las Vegas, NV and her late husband Tommy, Joyce Fanning and husband Jerry of Rockland, Eileen Quinn and husband Bob of Roslindale. Cherished grandmother of Joseph W. Bullard, III. and wife Vanessa of Bedford, Christine Bullard and fiancé Matt Stellar of Dorchester, Amy Fanning Haynes and husband Paul of Bridgewater, Patrick Fanning of Rockland, Rebecca, Robert, and Bridget Quinn of Roslindale. She was the adoring "GG" to her 3 great grandchildren, Amelia, Jocelyn and Luke Bullard of Bedford. Dear sister of Eileen Morton of Quincy, and the late David Morton, Evelyn Eifler and husband Frank. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service Police Force at the GMF in Boston where she made many good and longtime friends. While stationed in Boston, she wrote a traffic citation to former Mayor White for using a restricted roadway in a non-emergency vehicle. She was a longtime volunteer of the Quincy Public Library Adams Shore Branch in the Reading Roundup program. Funeral from the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., BROOKLINE, Wednesday morning at 10:00 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Brookline at 11:00. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00. Interment Walnut Hills Cemetery.
