Beloved husband of Maureen (McCarthy) Cronin, survived by his children, John Bourque of Hopkinton, MA, Candice (Bourque) Dowling and her husband Damian of Brighton, MA, Patrick Cronin and his wife Ashley (Bade) of Franklin, MA and Erin (Cronin) Robertson and her husband David of Barrington, Rhode Island. Loving Grandfather to Ruairi and Conor Dowling, Luke Robertson and Casey Cronin. Son of the late Captain James J. Cronin, Brookline Police Department and his wife Maureen. Loving brother to Maureen Mayotte, Pauline Maturo, Katie Weinger, Robert Cronin and his twin brother Lieutenant Ronald Cronin, Brookline Fire Department-retired. Also survived by his aunts, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rick was born and raised in Brookline, graduating from Brookline High School (1973) and Mass Dental Technical School, Quincy, MA. He was an avid fisherman, golfer, baseball fan, and lifelong hockey player, but his first priorities were always to his family. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Rick's Funeral Mass at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 5 Linden Place, Brookline at 10 AM on Friday April 29, 2016. Visiting hours will be held at the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home at 376 Washington Street, Brookline, MA on Thursday April 28, 2016 from 4-8 PM. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
