Our beloved mother, Pauline Y. Lung of Brookline, MA, 94 years old , passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, July 14, 2022. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio and traveled to China with her father and siblings at a young age. She grew up in China during a war and recalled at age 14 running barefoot into the mountainside, hiding from danger, not knowing where the rest of her family was. Eventually, after endless hours, family members found their way back home safely. At age 17, she traveled back to the States, moving from Providence, RI to Boston, MA. In 1948 she married Victor Lung, started a family, and worked in the family laundry business in Boston, until they moved to Brookline in 1955. She raised five children while she worked as a seamstress, school cafeteria server, and later as a hostess at Cathay Terrace, and then as a property manager. Her husband Victor G. Lung and daughter Barbara S. Lung preceded her in death. She is survived by Jeanne and Kenneth Chin of Burlington, MA, Pauline and Jack Yee of Sharon, MA. and Victor and Janet Lung of Lexington, MA and Grace Lung of Brookline, MA. She leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Our beloved mother worked hard to give us a better life. She stayed busy, active and alert, caring about her family and her home. We are very thankful for all the blessings she passed on to us. May she Rest In Peace.
