Paulina Ramirez-Williams March 13, 1965 - October 29, 2023

Paulina Ramirez-Williams, age 58, of Framingham, MA passed away October 29, 2023, after a 4-year battle with glioblastoma.

Her loving family was by her side.

Born in Santiago, Chile, she arrived in Cambridge, Massachusetts in October 1969 where her father was to attend a Ph.D program in Economics at Harvard University. In 7thgrade, Paulina and her family moved to Brookline, MA attending Lawrence Elementary School and Brookline High School where she made life-long friends. She moved on to attend the Parsons School of Design in New York and Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Emerson College, Boston earning a bachelor's degree with a focus in Literature and Creative Writing.

Paulina was intelligent, creative, hardworking and had multiple talents. In grade school, she was selected to participate in a program for academically talented students in Cambridge. As an animal and nature-lover, she volunteered at the Museum of Science as a caretaker for rescued animals during childhood and as an adult was an avid hiker and dog-walker. As an artist, she was asked to design a mural for a storefront in the Boston Financial District and has a collection of numerous paintings that she created throughout the years. She loved dancing and for several years participated in ballroom dance competitions. As a writer, she wrote and published an illustrated children's book titled "Night Owl and the Mainstream"and prior to her passing, was in the process of writing her story to enlighten others in overcoming life's struggles.

As a professional she successfully held roles in Regulatory Affairs, Medical Marketing and Medical Communications at Genzyme where she was loved and admired by leadership and colleagues alike. Later, she founded the Diosa Dance and Fitness Studio in Framingham, MA where she motivated hundreds of students to use various forms of dance as a way to develop active and healthy lives. Her greatest aspiration was to inspire women to be fully empowered and expressed. In the last four and a half years before her passing she used her social media platform to inspire positive energy and love while fighting cancer.

Paulina is survived by her father Luis Ramirez, mother Isabel Suzarte, sister Maria Ramirez, brother Mario Ramirez and nephews Alex and Lorenzo Ramirez. She is also survived by her step-family, the Vallees (Lindsa, Peter, Kelly, Michael, Chris and Katie) and a large extended family in Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Canada and Spain.

Funeral arrangements were handled by the Bell O'Dea Funeral Home in Brookline, MA, and a celebration of her life for friends and family is planned for 1pm at 5 Cabot Road in Medford on December 16, 2023.

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations in Paulina's name be made to the Sherrill House at 135 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA or theAmerican Brain Tumor Association.
