Paul T. Sheils of Brookline, Ma. Passed away after a six month illness on January 9, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife Maureen Burke Sheils and their son Connor Burke Sheils, his sisters Marie and Jane, brothers, James, Dennis and David and their spouses, 6 nieces, 5 nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Merrimack College in Business, Paul went on to graduate from New England School of Law and practiced law in Boston for 39 years.
Paul served for 22 years in the Army National Guard where he retired as a Major.
In Brookline, Paul served as an elected town meeting member and served on the Advisory Board. His love of sports led him to coach Connor and his outstanding teammates to two Pony League championship victories.
Taekwondo and the martial arts inspired Paul to earn a fifth degree black belt at the Jae H. Kim Institute of Taekwondo where he made friendships that have blessed his life in countless ways.
Visitation on Friday January 26th 4:30 - 7:00 in the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., Brookline.
Funeral Mass on Saturday January 27th at 11:00 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Brookline, Ma.
Donations in Paul's memory may be made to Good Shepherd Community Care.
