Meany, Maureen C. (Lee), 88, of Chestnut Hill, passed away peacefully August 19th. Beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Meany and loving mother of the late Michael J. and Patrick Meany. Maureen was born on Christmas Day, 1934 to Tadhg and Nancy Lee in Pollough, Rosscahill, Co. Galway, Ireland. Dear sister of Patsy Kennedy, and Ted Lee of England, Kathleen Walsh, and Rodger Lee of Ireland, and the late John Joe, Brendan, and Redmond Lee, Eileen Crowley, and Ann Branczewski. Longtime companion of the late Michael Kelliher. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Maureen was a member of the Irish Social Club in West Roxbury and the Irish Pastoral Centre.

Funeral from the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., Brookline on Tuesday August 29th at 9:00 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Brookline at 10:00. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Monday August 28th from 4:00 – 7:00. Interment Holyhood Cemetery.
