Conway, Maura (Queally), of Brookline, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her daughters just six months short of age 100. Originally from Liscannor, County Clare, Ireland, she made her home in Brookline for more than 60 years but never forgot her Irish roots. She is survived by her beloved daughters Ann M. Conway (Edward J. Pearson) of Charlestown and Mary T. Conway of Wellesley; her dear grandchildren Liam S., Maeve A. and Nuala S. Conway-Pearson and Owen P. Conway (she was Noné to all) and her last surviving sister, Sister Theresa Queally, of San Antonio, Texas, as well as cousins, nieces and nephews in the U.S. and Ireland. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James J. Conway, as well as her eight brothers and sisters and many close in-laws, friends, and extended family.

She was a quiet force of nature who knew what she wanted and didn't allow the world to prevent her from achieving her goals. She loved the home she created on Linden Street, including growing tomatoes in her garden each summer and raking barrels of leaves in the fall with her cat Biscuit at her side. Nothing made her happier than hosting holiday meals, tending her flowers and spending days at the beach. She was a loyal friend and parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption in Brookline. But most importantly she loved all her family, – fiercely, loyally and deeply.

Friends and family are invited to a wake at Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home in Brookline on Wednesday, December 28 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish on Thursday, December 29 at 10 am. Interment at Walnut Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Maura's name to the Sisters of the Holy Spirit Convent in San Antonio, Texas.
