Mary E. O'Kane Johnston Predaris, aged 77, of Walpole, MA, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on February 7, 2023. She leaves her husband of 37 years, Jon Predaris, and will join her late husband Freddy Johnston of 16 years.
Mary is loved and remembered by her five children, Kim Brooks, Kelly Sicchitano, Lauren Johnston, Frederick Johnston, and Lesley Lang. She will also be deeply missed by her thirteen grandchildren. She leaves two brothers Francis and Bernard O'Kane as well as many devoted relatives and friends.
Mary was born in and was a long-time resident of Brookline. She and her husband, Jon, also resided in Westwood, Humarock, and Walpole. She was a gracious and loving hostess to family and friends in her home, as well as at the ocean and at Lake Winnipesaukee, NH.
She could be found dancing and singing in the kitchen or playing cards with family and friends. Some of her favorite activities included watching sunsets and talking alongside those she loved.
A mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, February 10 at 11:00 am at St. Lawrence Church, 774 Boylston Street, Chestnut Hill, MA. Internment will be in the Walnut Hills Cemetery, Brookline, MA. Family and friends will be received at Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington Street, Brookline, MA. on Thursday, February 9 from 4:00 – 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to The Boston House "Ronald McDonald House", 229 Kent St., Brookline, MA. 02446 www.thebostonhouse.org
