PENWARDEN, Mary E. (Arsenault). Of Brookline passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 4, 2022. Loving mother of Susan Smith and her husband David of Quincy, Raymond Penwarden and his wife Mia of Rockland and Jean O'Leary and her husband Danny of Braintree. Adored Nana of Michael Hastings, Alexandra Penwarden, Jacquelyn Cubr and her husband Matt, Adam O'Leary and Daniel O'Leary and cherished "Gigi" to Joshua Baldwin. Devoted daughter of the late Elizabeth and Joseph Arsenault. Dear sister of the late Joseph "Chickie '' and Robert Arsenault. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Born and raised in Brookline Mary attended St. Mary School where she received all her sacraments. Mary enjoyed being an active member of her church, participating in many activities and bringing the Gift of Love program in 1991. Funeral from the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., Brookline, Tuesday morning at 9:10 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church at 10:00. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Monday from 3:00 – 7:00. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
