Obituary

Hogan, Martha (Driscoll) 97, a life long resident of Brookline and summer resident of Plymouth. Martha passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the Royal Cape Cod Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Buzzards Bay MA following a long illness. Beloved wife of the late Patrick J. Hogan, retired Brookline Firefighter and devoted mother to Thomas B. Hogan. Martha was beloved daughter of the late, James M. and Alice (Fay) Driscoll. Dear sister of the late Margaret, Clare, Nora, and Michael Driscoll. Martha was a loving cousin, Aunt, Great Aunt, Great Great Aunt, (Driscolls, Hogans, Murphys, MacAskills, Dunns, McWades, Urquhart, Varona) and friend to countless others. A graduate of Pierce Elementary, Brookline High School (1936) and Lasell College (1938). Martha was a life long parishioner of Saint Mary's of the Assumption in Brookline, her brother Michael's skating partner as members of the Skating Club of Boston, an avid sailor at the Plymouth Yacht Club, a competitor with her sister Nora in tennis, and Pied Piper to all neighborhood children. Visiting hours for Martha will be held at the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home 376 Washington St. BROOKLINE on Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 2 to 6. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday, November 9, 2015 at Saint Mary's of the Assumption, 5 Linden Pl. Brookline. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
