BROTHERS, Marguerite (DeMarco). Of West Roxbury, formerly of Brookline passed away on July 2, 2017 after a long illness. Daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Nuzzo) DeMarco. Loving wife of the late Alfred P. Brothers. Devoted mother of Stephen of West Yarmouth, Timothy and wife Janet of Fitchburg, Lorraine O'Neil and husband James of Bridgewater, Francis of Rochester, NY., Joyce Teahan of Stoughton, Jeffrey Brodeur and wife Maura of Hyannis and the late Maureen Gibbons and her surviving husband Brent of San Diego, CA. Dear sister of the late Josephine DeMarco and Gloria Oelfke. Also survived by her adored grandchildren, Matthew and wife Laura of Leominster, Patrick and Jeannine of Londonderry, NH., David of Amesbury, Michael O'Neil of Warren, OH., Abbey and Alex of Rochester, NY., Jennifer Mazzola and husband Michael of Newton, Jillian Teahan and Keith Meza of Foxboro, Johanna Teahan of Roslindale, Jacqueline Teahan and Alan Mahagan of Quincy, Colleen Harju and husband Dana of Carver, Vincent Mannion Brodeur of Hyannis and the late Keri O'Neil Derbyshire; cherished great grandchildren Charlie and Wesley Brothers, Vienna Metz, Austin, Fiona and Jack Harju and she was looking forward to the arrival of her newest great grandchild due in September. In addition to raising seven children, Marguerite started working at the Brookline Housing Authority, and was Executive Director of both Milton and Mansfield Housing Authority, Marguerite retired in 1993 and started consulting for various Housing Authority across Massachusetts implementing their section 8 program. She took great pride in her Italian heritage and lived life for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral from the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., BROOKLINE, Friday morning at 9:10 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church at 10:00. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 8:00. Interment Walnut Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Marguerite's name made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute www.dfci.org would be appreciated.
