Margaret Ellen Peebles died on October 28, 2018, leaving behind a large community of family and friends. Ellen co-parented, with John Capin, adoring sons Alex and Henry, who were her greatest source of joy and pride. During Ellen's long struggle with alcoholism, Henry and Alex were unwavering in their love, understanding, and support of their mother. Ellen was born in Princeton, New Jersey to Alison and Jim Peebles, who mourn her passing. She also leaves behind loving sisters Lesley and Marion, as well as nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other family members. Ellen is a Princeton graduate who worked for years as an extraordinarily-talented writer, her career culminating as Senior Editor at the Harvard Business Review. Ellen's wit, love of language, generosity of spirit, and compassion continued to touch the lives of the many who loved her until the final days of her life. They will miss her dearly. The family will hold a memorial service for Ellen in early January. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Planned Parenthood are welcome.
