Obituary

Louise Victorine "Vicky" Jardus, age 78, passed away in Brookline on March 27, 2023, after a long illness. Vicky was born May 18, 1944, in Butler, Missouri, to Francis and Ninon LaHue. She was the youngest of five children: Frank LaHue, Marcia Hutson, Miles LaHue, and Theresa Martin.

She moved frequently throughout her childhood, spending time in Missouri, California, and Colorado before graduating from high school. She attended the University of Colorado and moved to Boston in 1967, where she worked as an administrative assistant at Boston College, and later as an executive secretary at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

She spent many summers at the family home in Brewster, Cape Cod, taking long walks along the Bay. She was an avid reader, and shared that love of books with her insightful and imaginative granddaughter, Isabella, who was always at her side. She was gracious and kind with a wry sense of humor. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.

Vicky is survived by her granddaughter, Isabella Jardus, her daughter, Tory Jardus, and her former husband, Michael Jardus. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a caring aunt, and a devoted sister and friend.

A memorial service will be held this summer at the Immaculate Conception Chapel in Brewster, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vicky's memory can be made to the Dyslexia Foundation https://dyslexiafoundation.org/.
