Leo Michael Hovsepian, formerly of Brookline and Watertown, passed away peacefully with family by his side on June 9, 2026.

He was born on September 25, 1952 to the late Leo Hovsepian and Theresa (Cahill). Leo was a dear and beloved brother to Mary (Paul) of Medway, Robert (Deb) of Yarmouth, Lois of Cumberland, RI., and Ann (Carl) of Milford. A special thanks to his cousin Lauren for her love and care.

He is also survived by his aunt, Diane Cooper of Yarmouth along with many cherished nephews, nieces, great nieces, and cousins. Leo also leaves behind his closest friends, Joan, Jill, goddaughter Samantha.

Leo grew up in Brookline and was proudly inducted to the Brookline High School Football Hall of Fame in 2023, honoring the 1968 State Champion team he was a part of as # 42.  He took pride in his work as the Public Buildings Operation Manager for the Town of Brookline for over 20 years, retiring in 2019.

Outside of his work, Leo enjoyed spending time in the sun – relaxing at the beach, cycling, golfing, and boating.  He loved quality time with his life-long friends, Marty, Paul and Lenny.  He was a passionate Patriots fan, always sporting his matching hat, pants, and socks for each game he watched.

Leo will be fondly remembered for his humor, dedication, and his ability to make friends anywhere he went.

Funeral from the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., Brookline on Monday June 29, 2026, at 10:00 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church at 11:00. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.  Visiting hours in the funeral home on Sunday June 28, 2026, from 2:00 – 4:00. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
