Lars Messler passed away peacefully at Elizabeth Evarts de Rham Hospice Residence in Cambridge on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. Lars was born in Sundsvall, Sweden on November 21, 1945. His family moved between Montreal, Canada and Ridgewood, NJ. Lars graduated from the University of Virginia in Richmond and continued with graduate studies at the University of Denver, Colorado. He later settled in Boston and Brookline. Lars started Museum Reproductions, Inc. in 1969. Lars was an avid skier, fly fisherman and golfer. He enjoyed working on the family farm and fishing in Canada. Lars leaves behind his wife Kristina, 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren. He was loved by all who had the fortune to meet him. He will be sorely missed. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday September 23rd at 10:00AM in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 15 St. Paul St., Brookline.
