Obituary

Judith Ann Daigneault, a longtime resident of Sandwich, died peacefully surrounded by her family on August 3. Born in Marlborough on January 9, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Emilie Bouvier and graduated from St. Anne's Academy. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 43 years, Paul F. Daigneault. Judy worked for The Town of Yarmouth for 28 years until her retirement in 2007. Since moving to Cape Cod from Marlborough, Judy was active in the community and touched many lives with her upbeat attitude and clever sense of humor. She was most proud, though, of her four children and eight grandchildren who always got a kick out of her "Memere" expressions. Judy was found most often in her yard tending to her garden, working on her fish pond, traveling with her family and friends on cruises to Bermuda and road trips to play the slots at Foxwoods. Her most treasured activities, however, were spending time with her grandchildren, taking in the scenery on the canal, and enjoying time with her friends. Judy leaves her two sons, Paul Daigneault Jr. and his husband, the Rev. Jeffrey W. Mello of Boston, and Chris Daigneault and his wife, Kim of Mashpee; two daughters, Laurie and her husband, Paul Williams of Apex, N.C., and Aimee Daigneault of Sandwich; and eight grandchildren, Alexander, Nicholas, Ben, Hailee, Nolan, Jack, Ardani and Kendall. Judy is also survived by her siblings, Edward Bouvier (Sharron) of Northborough, Peter Bouvier of Hudson, Jeanine (Bouvier) Cadaret (Paul) TX, Janice (Bouvier) Mannone (Dennis) of Hudson, Jane (Bouvier) Higgins (Jim) FL, and Robert Bouvier (Denise) FL. She is predeceased by her brother Anthony Bouvier. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Duffy Health Center, an organization dedicated to restoring health and rebuilding lives across the Cape, 94 Main Street, Hyannis, MA 02601 or https://www.duffyhealthcenter.org/give/#donate-one.
