DIAZ, Jovita of Chelsea, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her loving family on April 28, 2025.  Beloved wife of Angel Luis Diaz.  Loving mother of Miguel A. Diaz (Boston EMS ) and his wife Tatiana Diaz of Stoughton MA, Ana I. Resto and her late husband Jose Resto of Revere MA, Sonia I. Vasquez of Chelsea MA, Sandra I. Schifferer and her husband Stephen Schifferer of Clearwater FL, Julio Cesar Sepulveda of Chelsea, MA, Jacqueline DeJesus and her late husband Heriberto Dejesus of Weymouth, MA, Reinaldo L. Sepulveda of Tampa FL, and Iris B. Burgos and her husband Anthony Burgos of Tampa FL. Cherished grandmother of Micaela, Tianna, Gabriela, Joey, Tatiana, Jerika, Jordan, Lizandra, Leticia, Michael Angelo, Marcus, Glynnis, Julio Cesar, Alex, Jaqueline, Heriberto, Reinaldo, Raymond, Ruben, Luis Miguel, Marcelino, Reggie, Jaritza, Yara, Omar, and Elizabeth. Dear sister of Ana Caraballo of Chelsea MA, Mary Torres of Carolina PR, and the late Alfonsina Caraballo, Emelanio Caraballo, Ignacio Caraballo,and Georgina Gonzalez. Also survived by many loving great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

Jovita was born in Lares, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Felicita (Ramos) and Marcelino Caraballo.  Jovita immigrated to the U.S. with seven of her children at the age of 35 with the hope of a better life for them. She was known for her warm heart, constant "bendiciones", sense of humor, and a "tiny but mighty" spirit. She dedicated her life to the loving care of her husband, family, and the long-term home care of her precious daughter Sonia. She had a zest for life that put a smile on the face of everyone around her and loved spending time with her family above all else.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jovita's visitation in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Saint Rose of Lima Church, 601 Broadway Street, Chelsea on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.  Jovita will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  Parking with attendants on duty.
