JOY, Joseph M. Suddenly in Brookline on June 21, 2017. Beloved son of Dolores M. (Gaffney) Joy of Brookline and the late Edward P. Joy, Drill Sgt., U.S.M.C. Dear brother of Christine Joy of West Roxbury, Jacqueline Joy of Norwood and the late Kevin, Thomas, Edward, Paul and baby Michael Joseph Joy. Adored uncle of "Little" Jackie, Keri, Thomas, Eric and Paul and loving great uncle of Collin, Fiona, Finn, Kevin, Gavin, James and Erin. Family was everything to Joe, devoted to his mother, and siblings and was so proud of his nieces and nephews, also survived by his many loved cousins in Philadelphia-New Jersey. Recently recognized by Congressman Joseph Kennedy, III and the Board of Selectman in Brookline having come full circle from delivering papers as a boy on this street to becoming on of Beals St. newest residents and "Mayor" of the street. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning in the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., BROOKLINE from 9:00 10:30 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church at 11:00.
