Jonathan Fried age 52, passed away Friday August 11th, 2017 He was the son of Hans and Inge Fried and the husband of 10 years to his beloved wife Caryn who predeceased him. He was a resident of Nanuet, NY before moving to Brookline to be cared for by his brother Alan. Jonathan was a Paramedic who worked tirelessly for people in need and was on duty on 9/11/2001 and for the following 2 weeks as part of the triage team. He grew up in Chestnut Ridge, NY and studied film and photography at RISD before jumping into the paramedic program at Rockland Community College where he also taught for many years. Jonathan was an active member of the Unitarian Universalist church in Pomona NY. Memorial Services will be held in early October in Great Barrington MA and Chestnut Ridge, NY.
