Predaris, Jon Peter, aged 79, passed away on March 22, 2024. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary E. (O'Kane) Johnston Predaris, and is loved and remembered by their five children, Kim Brooks, Kelly Sicchitano, Lauren Johnston, Frederick Johnston, and Lesley Lang. He will be deeply missed by his thirteen grandchildren, who made him "Papa." He also leaves his brother, George Predaris, and countless devoted relatives and friends. Lately of Walpole, MA, Jon and Mary had also made their home in Westwood and Humarock, MA, and Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. Jon was tough to beat in a game of gin rummy, though he wasn't above letting the rest of us win from time to time. When he wasn't on the golf course or the slopes, you could find him at the helm of his boat. After a long day spent flinging the grandchildren off their innertubes, he was known to celebrate with a Corona and lime on the dock, and with a great sense of humor he would tell all to enjoy taking a "long walk off a short pier." An avid storyteller, he could and would talk to anyone about anything — you'd laugh just as hard hearing the same punchline the fifth time as you would the first. Help us honor Jon with a gathering of family and friends at Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington Street, Brookline, MA on Saturday, March 30 from 10:00-11:00 am. Interment will be at Walnut Hills Cemetery, Brookline, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Keeping a Promise - Stronghold Freedom Foundation.
