TYNAN, John A. Lt. Brookline Fire Dept. (ret.) Of West Roxbury, formerly of Brookline, age 74, passed away surrounded by his loving family on July 20, 2023. Beloved husband of Kathleen "Kathy" (Kelly). Loving father of Sean (Kate), Kelly Ann, Brian, and Conor Tynan. Proud Papa to Caroline and Dermot Tynan. Son of the late Ambrose and Anna Tynan. Brother to Charles Tynan, Nancy Ellen Cederholm, and the late Kathleen Tynan. Survived by many aunts, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Past President Brookline Firefighters Local #950 and Commander of the Stephan F. Rutledge VFW Post # 864 Brookline. Funeral from the Bell O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington Street. Brookline, Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Brookline at 10 o'clock. Visiting hours Sunday 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
