HAMILTON, JOHN ROBERTS of Brookline passed away peacefully on September 30, 2017. Beloved husband of our departed Joan Marie Hamilton who passed July 14, 2014. Loving father of Linda Regan and her husband Richard of Foxboro, Carol Hamilton-Dodd of Mansfield, and Susan Hamilton and her husband Steven Bauersfeld from San Diego. Grandfather of Lindsey Regan, Catherine Emery, Richard Regan Jr., Steven Regan, Jonathan Dodd, and Scott and Sean Bauersfeld. Survived by his sister Nancy and her husband Al Ames of Natick. A small private family Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday morning at 11:00 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 5 Linden Pl., Brookline, MA. Interment with military honors was held at Walnut Hills Cemetery. John was a World War 2 veteran and served on the USS Braine Destroyer ship manning the radar. He also worked on the radar system on the Apollo while working at RCA. He was an avid sportsman who loved to play baseball, soccer and especially hockey, which he did up until his 80's.
