GREEN, John D. Chief Brookline Fire Dept. (ret.) Formerly of Brookline passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026. John is survived by his loving wife Mary (Lacy) of Norwood, as well as his cherished stepdaughter Jill Marsh and his stepson Robert Koontz of Arizona. Dear brother of Warren Campbell and his wife Henrietta of Norwood. Devoted grandfather of Sarah Walsh and Kelsey MacDougall, and his four great-granddaughters Giselle, Josslyn, Lacy, and Hazelle. John served the Town of Brookline for over 32 years. Late Veteran U.S. Navy.

Visitation will be in held in the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., Brookline on Tuesday morning, June 9th from 9:30 - 10:30 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 5 Linden Place, Brookline at 11:00. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment will be private.
