MILFORD, James F. "Jim". 72 years old. Of Naples, FL., formerly of Falmouth and Westwood. Jim grew up in Newton. He passed away on November 3, 2015 at home peacefully surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Joan (Osenton) Milford. Loving father of Kelley of Norfolk, Craig and Mark (Ana) of Naples, FL. Adored "Ja Ja" to Thomas, Madison, Jack, Jamie, Ryley, Luke and Eva. Predeceased by grandson Scott. Jim was son of the late Walter an Eileen (Crahan) and brother to Walter of Wyoming and Judith Werner of California. Jim was Director of Operations for Garber Bros. Previous to that he owned several businesses. Jim was an outstanding athlete, coach and sports fan. He enjoyed watching his children participate in activities and took great pride in all his grandchildren's activities. Never one to brag, but was sought out by many for his great sense of the right thing to do. He was a mentor to many. Jim completed seven Boston Marathons, also he ran the New York, Chicago and Falmouth Marathons. His favorite race was the Falmouth Road Race which was an annual family and friends event. Jim fought a difficult battle with pancreatic cancer and through it all, his only concern was not to have his family endure his struggles. A special thanks to the Florida Cancer Center in Bonita Springs for their wonderful care and support. The Naples Community Hospital for their outstanding level of care and the Avow Hospice. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning November 28th from 8:30 – 10:00 in the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., BROOKLINE, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Brookline at 10:30. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the B.C. High Fund, 150 Morrissey Blvd., Dorchester, MA 02125.
