Henrietta, known as Henny, was born on January 1, 1940, in Brooklyn, NY, to Ida (Slatus) Roseff and Isaac Roseff. She was the youngest of four children, Sylvia, Renee, and Lionel. Henny attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Brooklyn and graduated from Brooklyn College. In 1957 she met her future husband, Martin "Marty" Lederman, who called her "the most beautiful girl in the world." And so began their marriage of 59 years. Henny and Marty lived abroad in Louvain, Belgium for eight years, where Henny worked for the European Office of Aerospace Research and Development and Marty attended medical school. After returning stateside, Henny and Marty settled in Brookline, Massachusetts. Henny loved to sing and performed for years in the Brookline Chorus. Her favorite song was "It Had To Be You," which she often sang as a sweet serenade to Marty. Her pure voice and beautiful smile accompanied her joyful spirit perfectly. She enjoyed the company of others and found fulfillment working with the residents at Coolidge House, an elder care facility, in Brookline, for over 20 years. She brought boundless sunshine into every room and captivated those who had the pleasure of meeting her. Henny formed cherished friendships right up until her peaceful passing and will be missed dearly by all. Henny was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her two children, Melvin Lederman and Gloria (Lederman) Kuris, Gloria's husband Benjamin Kuris, and her three beloved grandchildren, Eli, Max, and Violet. She will be laid to rest alongside the love of her life, her husband, Marty, at the National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
