Geraldine (Geri) Fasnacht died peacefully on August 25, 2022, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

Geri was an esteemed psychologist and attorney. She graduated from Northeastern Law School, Boston, MA; Stony Brook University (SUNY), Stony Brook, NY; the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN; and Good Counsel Academy, Mankato, MN. After many years as a psychologist, she began her legal career at the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), Boston office in 1999. Geri was known for her legal acumen and deep understanding of the MCAD's process and procedures. She retired in 2021 after having served the Commission for more than 20 years. Geri will be fondly remembered as a passionate advocate for civil rights.

Born in 1951 in Mankato, MN, to Cyril J. and Iverna S. Fasnacht. Both Cyril and Iverna preceded Geri in death. She was the beloved sister of Sharon Gray (Hanson Reynolds), Sue Fasnacht, Cyril A. (Sandy) Fasnacht, Christine Welch, Mahogany Eller, and Joel (Jadell) Fasnacht. Geri was a loving aunt to Nicole Gray, Jake (Linda) Gray, Jolene Schladweiler, Mike (Anne) Schladweiler, Zachary Welch, Andrew Welch, Jessica Welch, Allison Welch (Joel Youngblom), Cinder Eller (Alphonso) Kimbell, Regis (Nicole) Eller, Holiday (Aly) Samabaly, Avi Eller, Gabriell Fasnacht, Isabell Fasnacht and 7 grandnieces and grandnephews.

A memorial service will be held in May of 2023, in Madison Lake, Minnesota.
