THOMITS, Francis P. "Bud". In Brookline on October 31, 2018. Beloved husband of Mary M. (O'Donnell) Thomits. Loving father of Carolyn T. Thomits of Brookline and Barbara M. Wedge (husband Robert) of Midlothian, VA. Adored Papa and Grandpa of Siah and Destiny. Dear brother of Kathy Merkin of ‪Sunnyvale, CA.‬ and James Thomits of Edmond, OK. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. N.H. State CYO Golf Champion 1959. Retired employee of 34 years from Brookline Parks Dept. Heart and soul of the Portsmouth N.H. Creek Hill Indians, center of the neighborhood. Responsible for transforming Eliot Playground hardtop into a skating rink for neighborhood children to enjoy for many years. President of the Cleveland Circle Dunkin' Donuts Coffee Club. Huge Seattle Seahawks fan and Russell Wilson's biggest fan. Funeral at the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, ‪376 Washington St.‬, BROOKLINE, ‪Wednesday morning at 9:10‬ followed by a Funeral Mass in ‪St. Lawrence Church‬, Chestnut Hill ‪at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours in the funeral home ‪on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Interment private.
