LEPORE, Filomena L. (DiGioia). A lifelong resident of Brookline, Mass died peacefully on December 24, 2017 with her loving family by her side. She leaves behind her daughter Nancy Lepore; daughter Adele and husband Ross Suttner; son Tito Lepore and daughter Sabrina and husband Michael Crane; grandson Jared-Tyler; and the joy who came into her life, Jenny Merwin; her sisters Lee Calabro and Elena Lepore; her brothers Herbert and George DiGioia and is predeceased by her brothers Frank and Eugene DiGioia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Filomena attended Boston College, Harvard University and Northeastern University. She was a Chemist for many years working for a large Chemical Company in Boston - A woman ahead of her time. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Marys Church, CCD Teacher, Regent for the Catholic Daughters of America, she was instrumental in organizing the program BEEP in Brookline. Our mother epitomized Goodness - She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Funeral from the Bell-ODea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., Brookline Thursday morning at 9:10 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church at 10:00. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00. Interment Walnut Hills Cemetery.
