Loving mother of John McGovern of Acton, Robert McGovern and his wife Michele of Norwood, Carol Russell of Acton, the late Catherine Petrie and her widower Edward Petrie of Brookline, Mark McGovern of Everett, WA., and the late James McGovern of Boston. Devoted daughter of the late John P. and Maryellen (Reilly) Menton of Roxbury. Sister of the late Mary E. Menton of Brookline, John J. Menton and his wife Barbara of Freedom, NH. Also survived by her grandchildren Ian and Devin McGovern, Thomas McGovern, Ryan and Christina Russell and Michael Miller. Visitation will be held in the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., Brookline on Monday morning from 9:00 – 10:30 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church at 11:00.
