Eileen
Kavall-Bornstein
Jun 6, 1950 — Sep 13, 2024
Eileen Kavall-Bornstein, 74, of Newton, MA, passed away peacefully at home on September 13, 2024.
Born in Danbury, CT, on June 6, 1950, Eileen graduated from Danbury High School and New England College in Henniker, NH. She began her career as an art teacher but later found her true passion in the floral business, where she met her beloved husband, Joseph. A talented artist and painter, Eileen was deeply inspired by the places she visited with Joe, and she dreamed of owning her own art gallery one day. Cape Cod held a special place in her heart, where she and Joe enjoyed the peace and beauty of their cottage. You would be hard-pressed to find a time when Eileen didn't have her camera in hand, capturing every moment – big or small.
Eileen was known for her kind and generous spirit, finding joy in the simplest things and sharing it with others. She leaves behind her loving husband, Joseph; her niece Lisa Matz and husband Jeremy; her nephew Michael Guilbeault and wife Sara; her niece Lauren Leary and husband Kevin; and her six great-nieces and nephews: Matthew, Sydney, Meghan, Jack, Brady, and Haleigh. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Larry Bornstein and Joseph Guilbeault, as well as many cousins, friends, and her cherished cats, Macy and Tukker. Eileen was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Margaret, her brother David, and her sister Kathleen.
Visitation will be held at Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., Brookline, MA, on Thursday, September 19th, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham St., Sharon, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Eileen's memory can be made to American Cancer Society
