Dyanne Alana Scagliarini, age 76, of Jamaica Plain, MA passed away on August 24, 2022. She is predeceased by her parents, sister, Valerie (Scagliarini) Magistri, and nephew, Anthony Magistri. She is survived by her brother, David Scagliarini of Springfield, MA, nieces Melinda Scagliarini of Easthampton, MA and Michelle Kaler of Greenwich, CT, and nephew Peter Magistry of Windsor Locks, CT. The daughter of Ralph and Helen Scagliarini, Dyanne grew up in the Hungry Hill section of Springfield, MA where she attended Cathedral High School. After graduating Merrimack College in 1965, she lived in Jamaica Plain, MA where she enjoyed a long career in at the Blood Typing Bank at Brigham & Women's Hospital. She enjoyed singing, concerts, and in her retirement was learning Gaelic. Dyanne was a prolific reader, and read everything. She loved animals, and when her beloved cat Tsatske passed, she sponsored the Lanai Cat Sanctuary in Maui. She was an analog person in a digital world, and was so good at keeping in touch with her friends, former colleagues, and family, remembered every birthday, and valued handwritten correspondence. She made everyone who knew her laugh, cry, and clap at all the stories she shared. Our family is grateful to know that Dyanne is finally at peace. A memorial service will be held in the near future.
