Douglas S. Rodman age 70 of Milton MA passed away unexpectedly on December 21, 2021 from heart complications. He is survived by his wife Theresa Rodman of Milton, daughter Gabrielle of New York, son Aidan, sisters Donna Grossman of Sherborn, and Harriet Rodman of Westford, niece Alex Grossman and nephew Daniel Grossman both of NH. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Shirley Rodman of Newton and Florida. Anyone who knew Doug was touched by his kindness, compassion, humor and love of life. Not only was he a loving husband, father, brother, son in law, brother in law, uncle but loyal friend maintaining friendships over the course of 50 years. "Chico or Dougie" as he liked to be called enjoyed watching his son play soccer, occasional trips away, golfing, attending a Bruins, Patriots or Revs games, lunches, dinners and being teased about his stellar soccer career at Boston University. Doug had unwavering passion and integrity for those he loved and organizations held dear to his heart. In 1989 Doug became a Board member of the Brookline non-profit entity The Boston House formerly known as the Ronald Mc Donald House. A home away from home for families with children being treated from cancer at Children's Hospital and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's Jimmy Fund Clinic. Over the course of 30-plus years, Doug had invaluable contributions to the House, as a result of his successful business in Brookline and his involvement in multiple community programs. In 1992 Doug worked with The Boston Harley Owners to develop what would become an annual fundraising motorcycle run that raised $285, 000 over the next 11 years. Doug also worked tirelessly to help develop other programs that would raise funds for The Boston House, whether it was donating items for fundraising auctions, connecting the House with other Brookline organizations and businesses that could help raise funds or serve as a volunteer in the House whenever necessary. He was a committed and dedicated supporter of the House, its staff and guests. Doug was also committed in supporting the Brookline Police K9 for the past few years.
