BRODSKY, David P. Suddenly, in Brookline on November 28, 2019. Beloved husband of Elie Roumally. Loving son of the late Patricia A. "Patti" Brodsky. Devoted grandson of the late Francis "Frank" and Madeline DelGreco. David was born on August 16, 1981. He grew up in Brookline and attended Heath School and Brookline High School. He earned his B.A. in philosophy at Georgetown University (2003, magna cum laude) and his M.A. in teaching at the Boston University School of Education. He later taught at Mansfield High School and Medway High School, and more recently worked as a financial analyst at MIT. Like his mother before him, David loved writing and reading, thinking and debating, studying and exploring, and teaching others about all he absorbed from the world. He sought out good-natured competition—an episode of Jeopardy, a chess match, a game of bowling or poker or bocce, or a half-marathon. Most of all, David loved his dear husband, Elie—with whom he shared thirteen wonderful years—and his family and friends. David will be forever remembered by those whose lives he touched. Visiting hours will be held at the Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., Brookline, on Friday, December 6, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., and again on Saturday morning, December 7, in the chapel at Knollwood Memorial Park, 321 High St., Canton from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 10:00. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of David may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105. https://www.stjude.org/donate/thanks-and-giving.html?sc_icid=home-btn-donate-now
