Cosmo D. Nicastro Jr., "Nick" Born May 26, 1929, beloved son of the late Attorney Cosimo D. Nicastro Sr., and Esther Nicastro (Barone) of Watertown, MA. Cosmo died peacefully surrounded by his family on August 21, 2018 at the Veterans Hospital in West Roxbury. Cosmo attended East Boston High School; Stonehill College; Boston University; and in 1957, he received his Degree of Juris Doctor from the Portia Law School, now New England Law Boston. Proud member of United States Marine Corp, Korean War, and Former Vice President of Operations for Checker Taxi Co., Town Taxi, Inc., and Red Cab, Inc., where he served as a devoted employee for 42 years. When it came to his family, Cosmo loved each person unconditionally from the deepest part of his soul. Cosmo is survived by all six of his children, Attorney Christine Nicastro; Doreen Nicastro, Cosmo D. Nicastro, III, Amy Nicastro Clark, John Nicastro, and Nancy Nicastro Bruno and his extended family: Doreen's husband Jesse Reznikow, their children Alex Reznikow, Jacob Reznikow, and David Reznikow and David's wife Jen Reznikow (Brenner), and their son Cameron Reznikow; Cosmo III's wife Ornette Nicastro (Francis) and their daughter Orianna Nicastro; Amy Clark, David Clark, and their children, Christine Clark, David Clark, Jr., and Samantha Clark and her son Aidan Clark. John's wife, Shannon and their children Jacob Morgan, Jonathan Morgan, Roman Nicastro, and Olivia Nicastro; and Nancy's husband Fred and their daughter Bethany Rose Bruno. Christine's significant other, George Weigand. Cosmo was predeceased by his sister, Esther Capone and survived by his sister Elsie Galgani formerly of Wellesley, now of Florida and his brother Richard Nicastro of New Hampshire; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He will be remembered in the Transportation Industry for all his dedication to the Boston Taxi Drivers who were an extension of his family. He was proud to serve them. All are welcome to visit the Bell O'Dea Funeral Home at 376 Washington Street on Sunday, August 26, 2018, from 3-7pm. Funeral to be held on Monday morning at St. Mary's of the Assumption Church at 5 Linden Pl., Brookline, MA at 10am with a burial at the Walnut Hill Cemetery to follow.
