1949-2026

O'Doherty, Coleman, "Cole" died peacefully on June 19, 2026, at the age of 77 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He leaves behind two daughters, Korin and Anna and three beautiful grandchildren. Cole was born on January 24,1949 in Newton Massachusetts, to his parents Michael J. and Mary A. (Kelleher). Cole was the second of 7 siblings. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Jr. his dearest friend, who passed away in February 2024. He is survived by his siblings: Maura, James (Ellen), John, Deirdre, Carmel (Vic). He also leaves behind many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom share fond memories and stories of growing up with Cole.

Born and raised in Newton, Massachusetts, Coleman spent much of his life enjoying summers on Cape Cod, creating cherished memories with family and friends. From an early age, he was recognized for his exceptional athletic abilities, and dedication to academic excellence.

Cole attended St. Sebastian's School in Newton, MA, where he distinguished himself both in the classroom and on the athletic fields. He served as captain of the tennis team, goalie for the hockey team, and participated in numerous other sports, and excelled in all. An accomplished swimmer, he was known for his competitive spirit and determination. He was an avid reader, loved music and travel.

Cole attended Boston College, where he studied psychology and graduated in the top of his class. His intellectual curiosity and love of learning remained with him throughout his life. He approached life with resilience, and a quiet determination that impressed those around him.

Coleman will be remembered for his intelligence, athleticism and unwavering perseverance, his memory will continue to live in those left behind. May God bless Cole, please keep him in your prayers. Rest in peace Coleman as you reunite with loved ones in Heaven.
