Murphy-Edberg, Carol, Age 85  of Brookline, formerly of Natick, passed away unexpectedly in her home, Saturday, May 11, 2024.

Carol was a graduate of the Chandler School in Boston and worked as a medical secretary for many years.  For over 30 years she worked at Putnam Investments as an executive assistant, was active in Putnam's philanthropic efforts and served as a mentor to many. She was also an active board member and officer for many years of her Winchester House Condominium Association.

She will be missed by her loving family who have many happy memories of annual beach trips and holidays together; her many lifelong friends from Natick ("The Natick Nine") for whom Carol coordinated many happy reunions; friends and neighbors and especially her beloved dog, Murphy.

She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Paul Arvid Edberg; her step children, Pamela Edberg Rogers (Tony Allen), Kim Edberg Burke, and Timothy Edberg (Lorraine);  her step grandchildren, Kristen Henry (Kit), Lindsey Bruso (Sam), Evan Bruso (Kim), Matt Rogers (Taylor), Zach Rogers (Jessica); and her step great grandchildren, Amelia Bruso, Konrad, Karson and Keagan Henry,  Carly and Kennedy Rogers and Harrison Rogers; her sister Cornelia Murphy Sullivan (Edwin) and 11 nieces and nephews. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
