Obituary

Brian Joseph Sheehan, of West Roxbury, formerly of Brookline, passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2026.

Born and raised in Brookline, Brian spent many years living in West Roxbury, with his later years spent at the Soldiers' Home in Chelsea, where he was cared for with compassion.

Brian was a proud Marine, a part of his identity that stayed with him throughout his life. He worked at Catholic Memorial and later at the West Roxbury VA Hospital, places that reflected his connection to community and to fellow veterans.

Brian is survived by his wife, Tricia, and his son, Danny, who was the center of his world and his greatest source of pride. He loved watching Danny grow up and carried a deep, quiet pride in the man he became. That pride only grew as Danny followed his father's love of country and now serves as a Lieutenant in the Army—something that meant more to Brian than words could fully capture.

He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Mary Sheehan, and his siblings Gary and Deirdre. He is survived by his siblings John and his wife Linda, Peggy Davoren and her husband Marty, Kevin and his wife Una, and Maura Boudrot, along with many nieces and nephews.

Brian was a man of few words, but his loyalty ran deep. He had a very kind heart and a quiet way about him—you knew he loved you, even if he didn't always say it. He was, simply, a good man.

He loved history, found peace in gardening, and enjoyed following Boston sports—especially Catholic Memorial football. He appreciated the simple things and the routines that grounded him.

Brian will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brian's memory to the Palliative Care Unit at the West Roxbury VA., 1400 V.F.W. Parkway, West Roxbury, MA. 02132.
